Ohio's concealed carry law includes blanket immunity for businesses that prohibit the lawful carry of firearms. In Missouri, legislators are seeking to turn this idea on its head: a bill has been introduced which would make business who post no-guns signs liable for their customers' injuries in cases where customers could have used a gun for self defense. See the news story here.
The quickest way to get no-gun signs down is to make posting them a legal liability for the property owner. OFCC salutes our pro-gun brothers and sisters in Missouri. Ohio's 132nd General Assembly should note how urgently this policy is needed in Ohio.
